Seiko Octagon | December 1993, sparkling gold dial, ultra high accuracy
Up for grabs is this Seiko 8J41-0AK0 from 1993. Ya'll know I love 90's Seiko and this one is a great example.
Case is gold plated stainless, and shows small signs of wear consistent with its age - a few small swirls and scratches here and there. The dial is fantastic. It's a textured mix of sparkle and sunburst that's really hard not to admire.
Razor sharp, polished gold hands let you know that Seiko wasn't joking around when they designed this one. Further to that, inside is an 8J41 - a very high grade movement that's accurate to within 10 seconds per year. This is pretty much as good as it gets for fully autonomous movements.
Comes riding a period correct Bambi bracelet that can fit a wrist up to 8".
All in all this is a really clean, high quality watch.
