Custom Monochrome | Garage sunburst, silver tones

This watch started life as a Seiko Exceline 2E20-5190 made in August of 1984. Then it became the first watch in my Monochrome series.

I took the entire watch apart - case, dial, hands, movement, crown, stem. I removed the finish from the dial and hand applied a “garage sunburst” pattern. I cleaned the tungsten carbide case and sapphire crystal. The original hands were gold, so I set those aside in favor of some polished silver hands from another 2E20 of the same era.

The end result is a play of different silver tones that all compliment each other nicely. 

Riding a silicone strap because it felt sacrilege and I think that makes sense here. 

Pretty much pristine condition, and running well.
